Bounce 2006, a DJ event featuring two international artists DJ KINA and DJ KRISTAN HERNANDEZ will be held on December 7th in Kuda Bandos. The event is organized by DJ Umar, DJ Allo (Beam On) and Bandos Island Resort.

Introduction
Youth comprises of 30 percent of the Maldivian population. Especially in Male’, percent of people living in Male’ are between ages 20 and 30 In spite of these significant figures, there are very few venues that work for the development of youth – especially in the domain of entertainment. Though exposed to diverse youth lifestyles through mass media, the current situation in Maldives does not offer the opportunity for younger people to recreate their own style of entertainment or musical hobbies. There is lack of opportunity in our society for youth groups to create their own diversions from everyday life pressures through musical means.
Bounce Music Night in Kuda Bandos is an event organised by few young collaborators whose aim is to help flourish musical creativity among the youth generation of Maldives. This event will provide an opportunity for those interested to get away from the monotonous nightly routines of life in Male’. Bounce Music Night is created to offer a new musical experience for youth population of Male’ at an affordable and easily accessible Maldivian environment.
Event organizers
Considering the style and genre of this event, our group of organisers include the following young Maldivian’s who have worked in various entertainment-related scenes in Malé.
DJ Umar
Well known local DJ since 1996. Umar has performed at various party locations including the City Billiard Café, Go Down, and Cheers in Male’, and is still performing at different Maldivian resorts. More notable however, is his work as an R&B DJ at the Rbar in Brisbane, Australia, as well as his involvement as one of the main collaborators of CHASE! events that has revolutionised the local DJ scene since 2002.
DJ Allo (Beam On)
With over 16 years of experience as a local DJ, Allo has performed at various entertainment venues in Male’ and tourist resorts. Allo was the resident DJ at Nasandhura Palace Hotel during the late 90s and has performed at all major recent DJ events since then. Allo is also one of the key collaborators of the CHASE!events that have taken over the party scene with its high performing DJs, unique venue environments with its extraordinary lighting effects provided by BeamOn Lights – which is Allo’s solely owned lighting company which dazzled the crowds at the July 26 celebrations of 2004, the illustrious Wataniya opening show, as well as the Fasy Live show.
Bandos Island Resort
Bandos Island Resort – has been a key player in supporting the youth population of Maldives and has been a major contributor to main youth entertainment events over the last 5-7 years. The management of Bandos Island Resort has collaborated with DJ Allo and DJ Umar in successful entertainment events in the past.

Location and Date
Bounce Music Night will be held in Kuda Bandos in Malé atoll. The purpose of organizing Bounce Music Night on this picnic island is to offer a chance for its participants to get away from Malé and to enjoy a unique experience in a laid back environment. Furthermore, Maldivians have always followed a tradition of unwinding from their daily work in a nearby island – and by organizing the Bounce Music Night in Kuda Bandos, we aim to recreate this customary mood in a highly entertaining manner.
Musical Performance
Two international Disc Jockeys – DJ Kina and DJ Kristian – both prominent DJs in Queensland of Australia will portray their unique performing abilities live at Bandos with their mixed DJ and live MC performances. Their impressive personal bio data is attached for reference.

Food will be provide at the Event by Salsa Café The Official caterer of the Event.

DJ KRISTAN HERNANDEZ
Hernandez – two-time winner of the Queensland DMC Championships – is reputed as one of Australia’s top DJs. His musical style skips through hip hop, breaks, drum and bass and house, with a mastery of each that would make most DJs jealous. Hernandez has supported BLACKEYED PEAS, ROGER SANCHEZ through to MOBY, BASEMENT JAXX, DJ JAZZY JEFF,MIGUAL MIGS & CARL COX.
