“The Inferno” on 6th April 2007
the biggest metal inferno……..Burn,Burn,Burn!!! The Inferno is the third musical event organized by “Youth for Equality”. The Inferno is a Rock show that is being held on the night of 6th April 2007. The Show will be held at the Alimas Ufaa Carnival Stage.
The main purpose of this show is to raise funds for the new music NGO initiated by Youth for Equality. Sceptre (who has won several awards in India for their outstanding performances) will be the guest band at the Inferno.

hi rock_angel no offence but i don’t think that damned did that bad at live help, they are among the few rock bands that create their own music. They have always played their new materials so it’s not as catchy as the songs played by the cover band.
But songs like ekaniverikan and veeraane are quite nice songs (for me) and the fusion of rock and boduberu at live help was a surprice to most of the ppl….i first saw then at rockfest….i like them…the same as I like all the rock bands in male’ specialy the ones who played at live help.
But I guess taste and views does differ

haadha baivaru show thakekey dho mi othy…but i’m gonna save my money for this inferno thing. clique show ga anekka ves hama serenity dies, 70’s poster band aa fasy aa viyya. same old bands…its time we had a change hus ebbayeh abadhu fennany. we really got to change this tradition here. there r so many great bands of all kinds of styles and y arnt they getting the chance to play in these bigger shows??? its always the same bands over and over again. I hope the remaining bands of this show doesnt include fasy and serenity dies. i know they r awsome bands but we get fed up if we keep on seeing them everywhere. anyway cant wait to see ‘Sceptre’ live from a maldivian stage, and Nothnagel showed a great performance in livehelp hope you guys do the same for this… keep us updated on this event. this is gonna be one hell of a show..atleast thats what i think till now hehe hope it goes well. rock on!!!

wel wel wel..let me talk abt waht the problem is first…there are hell loads of talented guys nd band around in male’…the prob. is that they dnt have a place to prac there stuffs..nd the second thing is that the show organizers takes the bands from the “biggest”…wel its not fair right for the other bands right…so i think we betta think abt pullin on small gigs like in months, bringin out new bands,many tastes of bands nd man more…in this way im sure the music vibe gonna burn like hellfire where creativity of own music nd style gonna boost nd the music scene gonna b open wider to the international routes…nyway for ur info. serenity dies not yet had decided to play at this show…its a “mayb” k…nyway more nd more new songs are gonna b heard soon on stage soon…spclly albums from serenity dies,sacred legacy,tormenta,locura nd bloodvile nd many more…so just wait…

sceptre really is as good as they claim to be, i have seen some of their live performances on youtube. here is a link, this is them covering metallica’s nothing else matters …. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tspxztldwK4 , search the site and you would find their own songs as well. and hey mukey, event organizers doesnt have to worry about the band practice rooms. they only care about making their show a success and for the profit, not about promoting new talents. i know there are a lot of talented guys around but why dont they get themselves a practice room, form a band and perform? your articles doesnt make any sense.

Wats better Northnagel or The Mortuary??? cuz im confused …for me the Mortuary is Better…the low growl the technial riffs…covers from Behemoth,Dissection & Opeth…its like hell loose ..$*#&%@* brutal….Faube rocks.,but nothnagel same old C.O.B stuff with tons of mistakes and tempo cuts…whew….if any band is ougth to play i want it to be them( not fasy or serenity dies )…I BET THEY CUD SHOW ,.the sceptre tht even maldivians cud RoCK….any comments plz post….

How can you say that??! Nothnagel played COB, Arch Enemy and even their own stuff and they didnt make any mistakes or had problems with tempos either. I saw them live and would have known if they made mistakes, i know the songs they play and they do quite a good job playing those. They arnt just nother ‘COVER ONLY’ band here, and I’m not such a big fan of Behemoth and Dissection. mortuary never played opeth either. its just that your tastes are different so dont compare bands. and also faube’ just had those low growls only while nothnagel’s vocal had different tones and pitches so its nothnagel who is better overall. I didnt want to compare these bands but since somebody has done it, just wanted to post my thoughts. In my view the event organizers made a good choice…

no offence to the other bands bt i agree with Zero here..i was there in the show nd ive never seen mortuary playin any of the opeth covers..mortuary roks nd so does nothnagel.. bt accordind to the styles of music they they play i gues nothnagel suits this one..their own sng in the liveHELP show (DIRGE FOR THE END) surely rocked..am hopin that there would be more of the bands own creations here in these shows.. it would make the show rockin like hell

all these bands are great, they all are unique in their own way….different people will like different bands……so just let it be…..
what we need to concentrate is how to enhance and create more own music…..and in the prosess to have lots and lots of fun. so stop your finger pointings and salute all the rock bands in the maldives…..cause i remember a time when there were only two or three rock bands.
so all be thankfull for what we have….

same old royal rules from the royal people……… serenity dies and fasylive has performed almost every commercial shows in 2006 . And again serenity dies?? well to be honest serenity dies and fasylive are one of the greatest 2 bands in maldives plus in both bands there are rock&metal legends of the maldives. But that dosent mean over and over again we had to see them…. right?? and the most biggest fact is the so called royal people gives the chance to only thier friends…. well no offense but why dont u royal people start to use some “EQUALITY” among the maldivian metal scene !!! And so once again LiveHelp show has proved there are some People who likes equality among youths cox its arranged by some middle class folks who likes to promote thier music… so ihope you royal&rich kids and folks suppose to understand the consequences of what theyre doing….. welll anyways rockon !!! have a nice time in that show !!

hey Redneck, why do you keep complaining about these events? this is how the big commercial events are everywhere in the world not just here in maldives. in other parts of the world they have 2 or 3 stages in the big shows and the bigger bands get to play on the main stage while the new samature bands play on either 2nd or 3rd stage. but here thats not possible since the audience is so small and there is no space for big events. the biggest event is the audience which would be just 3000 people to watch the show here. this is the reason why the event organizers here select big bands with good public images. its not done to discourage the younger bands but they have to think about their business. organizing a big show isnt an easy job, you are just thinking from your side so that cant be said ‘EQUALITY’ either. but i do agree the music scene here is quite small but you should believe that its growing day by day, if we had monthly small gigs it would be a chance for the new bands to showoff their talents and could get chances on the bigger events. but event organizers would not take the risk of having some new bands play on their commercial events which even include foriegn bands. we should show them our best artists here, not the new bands.

Thats why every rock or metal show must not be a commercial show, so now wat we need here in Maldives some underground shows cux it doesn’t need much space and 3000 ppl audience. but the sad fact is organizers are much not aware of this so most of the time they leave the easy way and chooses the harder way. well we all have different experiences so u might not get my point, cux i have been there when lot of these shows being organized. if we are gonna continue to talk about this than there would not be a end to this issue. and by the way the guitar battle is something that really gonna impress me and the others, so once again raise your devil horns \m/ and rock that night, c u in there. peace out..

No offence guys…not just becox im one of the organisors of gigs…But i think the show organisors will do it commercially and it has to be so. And they dont have to worry a thing about the bands…But i do think if the bands want to promote to the next step…work hard and achieve a standard and a good fanbase…im sure theres a lot of creative young musicians out there…they shud stand up…start giving out small gigs first…and slowly they can gather a fanbase…it mite be a slow process..especially if the band is young…but with hard work you can achive…and if this is soo..the show organisors…will give the chance to them…in huge shows..cox the band will have a commercial value…so i think if the bands really want they shud stand up and try to find the solutions…to become good musicians…to get to a standard where people will pay to watch or listen them play…
Also i think if they really want to achive something why dont they come up with their compositions…or records…if they dont have enough money to do a recording…why dont they approach firms…who will be willing to sponsor their records…im sure there will be people…if we get sponsors for gigs or concerts…i think you the bands or musicians can get a sponsor for their own records more easily….So please work hard…and go step by step…and achive a commercial value…hope this helps you desperate young musicians…NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE…who knows mayB one of you mite get sponsored by an international record label some day..Look at FASYLIVE…they went step by step…and they still are going it step by step…it is working…LEARN…and try to catch up your ambition…GOOD LUCK!
And to everyone out there…dont say your opinions on how and when to host a show… i think all the event organisors are doing a great job..A huge thanx to them…for their hard work…Its the event organisors who knows who and who will perform..as they are doing it for a purpose…so stop challenging them…IF YOU WANT SOME OTHER BANDS ON A CERTAIN SHOW…YOU CAN ALSO ORGANISE GIGS.. Im sure NO ONE WILL STOP YOU….so go on organise small gigs even….and give the chance to junior bands…

ihave seen some videos of (SCEPTRE) in tube its seems theyre ok but didnt make me impress! and as for (SERENITY DIES) iwill say they need to change thier repature and ihope in new repature thier 2nd albums songs to be included,and as for (NOTHNAGEL) isay ive wacthed livehelp footage from a fan and it seems u guys need to improve a lot,so this dosent mean iam going against you,well ithink this is a fact you guys suppose to confess. cUx bands canbe improved wit some affective comments from thier fan. most of these comments are out of topic, whoever is moderating the forum is not doing a very good job. hope you take off these worthless posts which is flooding this thread. and what is this band mortuary? claiming to be gods of music, i have never even heard or seen them. we cant have a decent conversation on these Maldivian music sites coz of these amature wannabe bands. why do you guys keep on comparing the bands that are playing on this show? they are finalized coz the ppl organizing the show believes they can perform well and wont disappoint them and no matter what you all post on this site is going to change it. try to get some practice, make your own material and get your bands going. maybe that might help, but stop wasting your energy on this site.

I cant wait for the show!! i hope all the bands give us good music worth head banging!! and I hope that the covers are awsome as well as the own material!! and i a lot of bands i like arent performing on this show..but then again a lot of bands i like are performing on this show! From my point of view this show is gonna be one helluva show!!!! Oh and lets hope a lot chicks go..so we dont get bored in the middle of the songs! cheers..
