Lets keep the Gov outta this eh? we all know that all they’re gud at is making “Patriotic” songs on TVM.. But Hani n Maasey’s got a point.. most of the new bands start out without a drumset and/or a drummer (due to the lack of space/money or angry neighbours/parents) we’ve all been there..

i agree with Hani, there should be another way for smaller bands to practice coz they are the generation we sought our efforts to, not just for ppl who cud afford a million bucks, all i cud say is that the efforts made are STILL far tooooooo LOW than that must be made. The government should do something about this soon enough for the music to grow in Maldives.

I wish there was someplace with a drumset and electricity where smaller bands that just want to Jam can practice. At a small fee us students can afford too (I’m saving up to buy a bass guitar that costs just a little over 3500; shelling out 3500 A MONTH??!?!). They could have sign up sheets and a rotating timetable so that it’ll be fair and such.

@thoz…… for your info ok…. Since when is it a problem to get the rates increased for ALL bands!!!??? Since when is it a problem to try and get better practice rooms and facilities for ALL bands!!??? Since when is it a problem to increase the rights of ALL in this industry!!??

I think you have missunderstood, my intentions were to show another point of view to the blog posted and find a solution and middle ground to make all happy.

I said it once and I will say it again, things will not change unless we try to make solutions together……not argue between ourselves!

My dear Obofili….well what can I say buddy 1st, 10th or 100th band to move into the carnival I dont really see what difference it makes (lol)……

I would like to inform and make you understand that Sultans is not the second band who moved in to Alimas Carnival. I guess Amazon Jade, I dunno the second band name..very sorry abt this.. and its Fasylive then SULTANS. so lets call SULTANS the 4th Band in Carnival History of Noisy Bands.
