World Music Day
First let me introduce our Association Franco-Maldivienne a local NGO, which is created with the aim of introducing French language and culture. At the moment, we conduct French language courses for adults in Male’ and resorts which also includes cultural activities.
The 21st of June, is the “Fete de la musique” (world music day) which is celebrated worldwide by professional and amateur musicians alike. It began in France and spread across Europe and now is celebrated worldwide. Depending on the country, the day could be celebrated one or two days before or later.
The music festival is now celebrated every year and is an event where there is exchange by music lovers and musicians, all for free. The spirit of the event is “music in public places†(roads, parks, café’s etc..) aiming to offer this opportunity to all those passionate about music of all varieties.
Hence, this year we are organising this big event for the first time in the Maldives. At the moment we have received a very enthusiastic support from many local musicians, most of them who are new artists We therefore we hope to celebrate this day in a big way.
The location of the event will be MSCE Haruge and the time will be from 8.30 pm onwards.

you guys could have posted this a bit earlier. and ppl wud come to see there favorite bands playing. so i am suprize that u guy failed to post who and who is playing. its like ur advertising your NGO rather than giving information about the event.
