Dear Dhunfini,
In response to your query/comment, it has to be said that unfortunately the Sounds Maldivian event was not able to be carried out at nCa, due to various quite valid reasons. However, the concept originators are still keen to go ahead with this event, and to this end, plans are underway for the event to be held under the Dhivehi Unlimited banner. Be on the lookout for more on this, on this site. Many thanks for the interest.

The issue of ranking this event . . .first or second . . . well few Maldivians know Mr. Hassan ever staged such an event and if so, was it detailed and documented as to the requirements, the selection, the rights and all the official features of this event ? I don’t believe so. Therefore with due respect to all dead and living, this will be the very first of its kind in Maldives.

Well done NCA ! Finally something interesting is being planned. As for participation it might not feature all the talent around since its the first time but I feel it would attract very promising artistes. Its been so long that we have to bear with “stale” stage shows. Be it Zd Atoll or Fasy or anybody else. Once again, I’m so glad that NCA has come up with such an event. I wish NCA all the best in managing this event.

Perhaps a good one for the Maldives… You record and display anything other than pure music. Yeah! that\’s what its all about!! I haven\’t seen any good skilled musician taking interest in such genres. Its an appealing genre for popular music students rather than musicology. The reason; simply because they study music without an instrument (a musical instrument). Hence, anything can be an instrument considering experimental music. From veggies to cosmetics…

The nCa is fairly flexible on most aspects of the event, and we welcome suggestions and feedback from all.
