I'd like to say your concept seems quite favorable for the bands from what we've talked about at the meeting. All the best to MEC. Thanks for your support.

gr8 stuff Musician :D

well fazu we would like to know information like how UNPLUGGED the show's are.. And which genre of Unplugged.. Unplugged can be arranged in several ways..if we are thinking music wise...

There are many new great bands in Maldives that need more places to show what they are capable of.... So only UNPLUGGED show's is limiting the new age bands v much..

i need you to be very transparent when working with the bands. no secret stuff.

Ideally organizations like this should be INDEPENDENT. NOT backed by the government. this is to decrease political influence.

I'd like to note that MEC has control over
1 Olympus
2 NCAs sound equipment
3 NCAs lights equipment

Your company is at a BABY stage right now ( Do not be fooled by that event for Olympians, its not MEC who caused their success, it was the name Olympians created themselves which caused the events success). and we know that you need ALL THE MONEY YOU CAN GET at the moment. BUT Making a PROFIT out of such events is not the main goal you should be aiming for at the moment. but rather making a GOOD RELATION to existing established bands. even if u were aiming for profit.. how much extra would u make anyway? 3000 to 5000 bucks.. or even if it did reach upto 10,000RF, It is NOTHING compared to a SUCCESSFUL concert hosted by Maldives Entertainment Company and a Good band (I'm not talking about Olympians - lets open our eyes to the 21st Century guys.. there are much better bands out there now) with all due respect to the famous legends. its time everyone gave space to the new and upcoming bands.

Once you have achieved a successful show with a new band (or shall i say a more 21st century band) all the other bands will be convinced that the Maldives Entertainment Company is not so bad after all..... now you will get more and more gigs to host from then on. THERE IS THE MONEY YOU WANT.

Think long term.. or make a few bucks and get ready to close shop. just like any other organization run by the government.

Your previous tactics DO NOT work on musicians nowadays. Try to understand what were trying to do here. ask our opinions because that is only what will help your future. WE MUSICIANS HOLD THE KEY TO MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT HERE AND WE KNOW IT... so get with it. proud to say it won't be a difficult task to get all musicians on one side now to get things done the way WE WANT NOW.

as you say you are willing to change your ways in order to benefit the musicians, so instead of deciding whats best for us, ASK US BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING.
